Topcat Engineering began operations in July of 1993 and is located in
the historic town of La Conner, Washington, approximately 60 miles north
of Seattle. The company's service area ranges from Seattle, north to the
Canadian border.
Topcat is owned by Tom Gilbert, an Electrical Engineer who has been a full
time Marine Electrical and Electronics Technician since 1985. Tom spends
most of his time selling and installing high quality lines of marine electronic
equipment and also is involved in vessel systems design using AutoCAD and
Visual CAD.
Tom supervises Topcat's staff, and the company prides itself on high levels
of personalized service. They use only the best construction and installation
techniques. Tom himself is a noted sailor in the region, having competed
in several Transpacs and other area races.
