My Purpose

January 9, 1999

Deep within each of us lies an eternal question...

What is my purpose?

Tonight I focus and reflect on the answer that reoccurs within my thoughts each time I the question arises. It has something to do with how I feel and relate with others.

Tonight, it appears to me in the shape of a circle, which interlinks with another circle.

I get much pleasure from referring people to resources, introducing people to other people who can help each other out. I love to research and connect services with the people who would benefit from them. I love to study codes, translate them, and offer them to the people who need the translations. I love to help people find their dreams. I love to show someone how to do something so that he/she can do it independently the next time. I support interagency cooperation. I love to meet new friends who will help old friends. I save articles that I think someone else could use. I am a supportive fan of local artists and musicians and get great pleasure out of promoting their businesses because they offer so much to the rest of the community. Hence, by helping their success, I have the pleasure of witnessing a better community.

What gives me the greatest joy, is knowing that I am not the source. I am a link. Therefore, I help and join with others who help. Together, we build structure.

If I do not have an answer to a problem, I search until I find one. I am not the solution, but a link...a component in the structure of Life.

This is my purpose.
