Relationships

January 7, 1999

I am very much aware that people enter and leave each other's lives like dust particles, which briefly touch one another.

It is my personal belief that each person is a composite of all the people he/she has met... and therefore, every person I meet, I feel has significance to me. Relationships at any level are important. What we do in public in front of strangers is significant. And what we do with those who stay in our lives as partners, family members, and friends.... these relationships have even greater significance. However, all interpersonal relationships have a physical closure and oftentimes that closure is not pleasant. Through it all, there is ONE who remains with each of us.... and amazingly that ONE is a composite of it all.

Just my reflection... but what I'm trying to say here, is that I take relationships seriously and try to avoid bruising them. But my strength does not come from the individual relationships as much as it does with the whole composite.

Does this make sense to you? You may see it differently....but I have a hunch it's similar.
