Wavelengths

You've heard people say, and you've probably used this expression yourself, "We're on the same wavelength." What does that mean? If you think it means that you and I, or whomever you're referring to is perceiving matters the same way as you--think again!

Think about it. Every point on a wave length is at a different height position. Let's consider waves, ocean waves rolling into shore. There's a length of surf that is moving into shore.

Watch and learn from the surf, and observe how it overlaps and even collides with itself, and how some of it rushes to shore, while other layers pull back.

To be on the "Same Wavelength" is exciting, powerful, motivating, and beautiful. But we also need to respect our "space" in that wavelength and recognize that each of us has a different perspective.

Just something to think about as we tumble along together.
