Volunteer Opportunities
Friendship House relies heavily upon volunteers to complete our
mission. Because our population is ever changing, some of our needs may
be variable, not constant. We are in need of volunteers in the following
areas:
- Anyone wanting to help the needy in any variety of ways
- Attorneys willing to give pro-bono work
- Dentists willing to treat the homeless for free or at a reduced
rate
- Groups or individuals willing to do deep cleaning or regular
maintenance to buildings and grounds
- Individuals willing to do yard work
- People with trucks willing to help do pickups and deliveries
- Groups willing to cook, serve and provide a meal-a-month
- Bible studies
- Counseling of individuals by certified counselors
- Vocational counselors
- Mentors
- Advocates
- Child care providers
- Tutors
- Plumbers
- Carpenters
- Electricians
- Auto Mechanic
- Landlords willing to work with the transitional housing program
